Android games - How To Install and Use The New Google Play Games Services With Simple Simple Access
Back in January 2016, Google announced its plans to re-work its G+ integration into Google Play. When the latter was officially released, it also introduced Google Play Games Services, that would soon replace Google+ Games, but at the time, Google Play Games Services was in a preview phase and used for only in-app payments, Google+ integration, etc. If you were lucky enough to be among the early users, then you already had the privilege to enjoy Google+ Game
Most of the features available in Google Play Games Services, are already available in Google Play Games with the exception of in-app purchases and Google+ integration. That’s why today, we’ll introduce you to the basics of G+ Games and the most important features available with Google Play Games Services that are so far exclusive to Google+. If you know about them, then you’re better prepared to create your Google+ Games account.
We would like to express our appreciation to Google for having started this project and for the great initial support to the Android community. As we already mentioned, Google is actually replacing G+ Games, and we are not forced to stop using our Google+ accounts. However, it would be best for us to learn how to use Google Play Games Services instead of going back to Google+ Games.
Google Play Games Services and G+ Games
To access G+ Games, you’ll have to create a Google+ account. You don’t need to worry about Google complying with GDPR rules, you just have to worry about the privacy policies of your Google Account. Otherwise, if you have an existing Google Account and have not linked it to G+ Games yet, then you should stop wasting your time.
To create a Google+ account, you can go to the following link
At the top of the page, you should find the button Google+. You can either sign up directly there, or click on the Create Account button and fill in all the details, which will allow you to receive notifications of your updates. You should also create a PIN, that will prevent unauthorized Google+ activity on your account. When you’re ready, click on the Sign In button to finish creating your Google+ account.
If you’re just a casual user and never used Google+ before, then it is advisable to create a new account, that will give you the opportunity to use some of the most attractive features of G+ Games, like the people, events and Google+ videos.
After you’ve created your Google+ account, you should receive a link in your mailbox, which you can use to follow Google’s games developer’s account, called Games. If you have already signed up for Games, then simply navigate to the appropriate page and you’ll see all the new features.
Once you’re in Games, you’ll be able to choose your username, along with the following: your favorite games, preferred language, Google+ circle, friend list and settings. You can also set your default language. Google also lets you have all the events in one place, if you want to see them in one location, like the Winter Olympics, March Madness, and more.
You can also manage your profile, find your games, request notifications and more. If you already have a Google+ account, you can directly log in to your Games account and manage it.
After that, you can learn more about the Google+ Games community, participate in the polls and explore.
In Google Play Games Services
As mentioned before, G+ Games are currently available only on the web and Android. It doesn’t mean that the Play Games version is not going to be available on the web in the future. We are actually not sure if Google will introduce it soon.
