Modren combat Gameboards
"I must be quaking in my boots" That is my reaction upon discovering an entire set of six new terrain (without sculpts) for Nodlon's Modren combat game. If you own either The Shattered Crusade or the Core Set, I strongly suggest you add the game to your collection.
These modular terrain boards will appear at a fair rate throughout the campaign. If you don't already own a copy of either product, you may want to pick them up now.
Scythe of Truth Campaign Card
The first mission of the new Scythe of Truth campaign is nearly here! Until the campaign ends, you will be able to purchase a single-card pack of up to four new character cards (which will also function as rewards during the campaign) at reduced rates.
The game's first campaign expansion, Scythe of Truth, brings the futuristic faction the Pragmatists into play for the first time! In addition to players' secret agent heroes, the expansion introduces twenty new game cards. Also new this expansion is the addition of three unique escort heroes, the highest-level hero cards in the game, that can be either earned through gameplay or purchased as reward packs with card packs. The new heroes, though highly desirable, are not available to players who purchase the base game.
At the core of the new Scythe of Truth campaign is the fight for the world's sacred alien ruins, located beneath the tropical planet Ixal. A mysterious organization called "the Gray Sigil" is out to steal the valuable artifacts and gain control of Ixal's primary resource: artificial Centauri Light.
One of the key threats in the campaign is an alien battle platform called the Ichthian Spider. This new, stationary member of the battle platform family can generate energy on its own through turrets and a homing beam. You must defeat this force of AI if you hope to capture the alien relics on Ixal.
The campaign is expected to last three weeks, and will require the core set, the Shattered Crusade expansion, and the Scythe of Truth campaign card to play.
